Memories of Margrette Taylor
Margrette was killed in an automobile accident on September 6, 2000. I will forever remember her love for family and friends and her remarkable zest for life.
Itís been close to ten years yet, it still feels like a dream.
I sometimes catch myself and quickly stifle my screams.
Iím reminded of you always in every aspect of my life.
Laughter and tears often accompany my thoughts of you.
Your memories they do lift me, I canít help but to laugh and cry;
Sometimes I even ask myselfÖ did she really die?
Death is so finite that I just canít connect the word with you.
For you were a lover of life ever anxious to start your day.
Challenging any strife or obstacles that dared to get in your way.
Weíve learned from your death a lot of things both significant and quite small.
Weíve learned that time goes by much too fast, itís scary how fast time flies.
Already another chapter of life has passed before our tears have had a chance to dryÖ
So here I am again today, you see a whole lot has happened since you were called away.
Instead of lamenting your demise I remember your life and the beautiful way that you lived;
I remember your smile, your generosity, and most of all of the love you had to give.
I will never forget you Margrette, my sister and my friend.
